NEBULA INSECTO ORGANICA
This project was created for my retrospective exhibition “AFTERWORK IMMERSIF” at Caserne 26 in Montréal, and later presented at MINUTE MAPP, organized by MAPP Montréal and Moment Factory.
Welcome to Atlas des Nebula Insecto Organica. Between real and virtual organisms, between machine and insect, between plants and fluids, chrome and minerals… rises an insectarium of the future. A future where nature and technology no longer oppose one another, but merge into hybrid forms.
There is something both fascinating and slightly unsettling about their shapes and textures, an uncanny-valley feeling that makes you hesitate between “this is beautiful and mesmerizing” and “is it about to attack me?”
So leave your familiar markers at the entrance. Here, there is no clear boundary between the organic and the artificial, between beauty and strangeness, between fascination and unease.
